中国智能手机品牌小米１３日在迪拜举行新闻发布会，正式宣布小米系列手机在阿联酋市场开始销售，并将以此为开端全面进军中东和北非市场。
小米在中东和北非地区官方授权经销商塔斯克公司（TASK FZCO）不仅在现场推出了小米主打的多款智能手机产品，还展示了小米家族的智能电视、路由器、双轮平衡车、空气净化机等丰富产品，充分显示出“中国制造”的强大实力。
塔斯克公司首席执行官吉沃莫里·古里拉（Givemore Gurira）在会上表示非常高兴能将小米系列手机带入阿联酋，凭借高品质、低售价等优势，以及与阿联酋两大电信运营公司之一Etisalat的销售合作，他相信一定能复制小米在中国和世界其他地区的巨大成功，迅速成为当地智能手机市场上一个极具竞争力的角色。
率先进入阿联酋市场的４款小米手机分别为：４４９迪拉姆（１美元约合３．６５迪拉姆）起的红米２Pro、７１９迪拉姆起的红米Note２、８９９迪拉姆起的小米４ｉ和１６９９迪拉姆起的小米Note。这４款手机均支持４Ｇ网络和双SIM卡功能。
