迪拜统计中心（DSC）的数据显示，迪拜的常住人口目前为313.64万人，而该酋长国的日间活跃人口总数为429.14万人。这一数字考虑到了非居民工人和迪拜临时居民，比如在这里休闲和度假的人。

DSC执行董事HE Arif Al Mehairi表示：“人口的增长反映了迪拜作为一个充满活力的经济和旅游中心的增长。”

“目前，迪拜的非居民工人和临时居民人数为115.5万人，而该酋长国白天活跃的人口总数为429.14万人。高达37%的迪拜日间活跃人口来自阿联酋以外地区。

DSC的数据显示，迪拜2018年第三季度的临时居民数量较2017年同期增长6.6%，而居住人口增长1.1%，总体增长7.7%。

那么性别分布是怎样的呢？有趣的是，70%的居民是男性，30%是女性。至于为什么会这样，DMC提到了一个事实，那就是大多数外派员工都是男性，他们住在迪拜没有家人陪伴。

统计数字还显示，50多万居民年龄在30岁至34岁之间，而20岁至44岁的人群占居民人口的近67%。

近年来，迪拜的人口大幅增长，1881年迪拜的人口仅为1.2万人。如今的人口是是过去137年前的261倍。
