阿布扎比交通运输部（DoT）高级官员宣布，从10月15日起，阿布扎比的驾车者将支付道路通行费。

费用

四个收费站系统已经安装完毕，驾车者必须在周六至周四的高峰时段支付Dh4，在非高峰时段、周五及公众假期，通行证的收费将降至Dh2。每辆车每日最高收费上限为Dh16。

阿布扎比车辆登记

所有道路使用者都应开设一个特别的收费帐户，通过这个帐户他们可以管理自己的车辆，并通过网上系统处理应付款项。

综合在线注册系统于8月30日启用，自动为#AbuDhabi注册车辆创建免费帐户。帐户持有人将自动收到一条短信，说明该帐户的用户名和密码，然后可以根据需要添加任何额外的车辆到注册帐户。过路费通过电子钱包支付。

阿布扎比以外的车辆

对于在阿布扎比境外注册的车辆，车主必须在通过收费站前在系统中注册。

未在收费站系统登记的车辆在通过收费站时，从通行时间起，给予10个工作日的宽限期，以方便在系统中登记，否则处以罚款。

收费地点

四个收费点分别位于Sheikh Zayed Bridge，Sheikh Khalifa Bridge，Mussafah Bridge和Al Maqta’a Bridge。

豁免

这项法律免除了救护车、武装部队和民防车辆、公共汽车、摩托车、有牌照的出租车、授权的校车、至少载客26人的客运巴士、警察和内政部车辆、电动汽车和拖车的过路费。

罚款

非登记车辆如在宽限期过后（宽限期过后的首十个工作天）通过收费站，将会被罚款。第一天罚款Dh100（宽限期过后），第二天罚款Dh200，第三天罚款Dh400，依此类推，最高罚款dh10000。

在阿布扎比境外注册的车辆，如果没有足够的帐户余额，在宽限期后的10个工作日，每天将被罚款Dh50。

为逃避交费而篡改车辆牌照，将被罚款Dh10000。

损坏任何电子付款机或收费闸门，将被罚款Dh10000。

法规宣布

2018年2月，阿布扎比交通运输部开始准备实施总统Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan殿下颁布的2017年第17号交通关税法。

交通部此前已证实，它将通过综合交通运输系统开发一套先进的综合电子系统，以监测装有道路收费系统的车辆在过境地区的行驶情况。

根据第17号法律第2条和第3条的规定，交通部门负责确定实施道路收费的区域、缴纳的数额和运营时间。然后，这项决定必须得到执行理事会总秘书处的批准。

迪拜Salik

迪拜电子道路收费系统称为Salik，于2007年由迪拜道路交通管理局（RTA）引入。

虽然这是阿布扎比的第一个收费站，但自2007年以来，迪拜已经实施了道路收费。现在迪拜有7个Salik门，包括Al Garhoud, Al Barsha, Al Maktoum大桥，Al Safa，机场隧道，Al Mamzar South和Jebel Ali。
