十二月，迪拜进入了“时尚时间”，第二届DFD迪拜时尚日于12月8日在迪拜蓝水岛凯撒皇宫酒店隆重开幕，这场盛会将一直持续到12月12日。这场由“拥抱中国”（Hala China）主办的时尚活动，由中阿双方的共同参与，为迪拜带来精彩绝伦的时尚盛宴。名设计师、大牌、名模、明星和美轮美奂的霓衫羽衣共同交织出一场奢华的时尚盛会。

在12月8日的开幕式活动中，不仅有“盖娅传说”的大型时装秀，还有中外百万级粉丝的网红军团助阵现场直播。活动中还有额外彩蛋，原外交部部长李肇星、迪拜马吉德亲王和中国驻迪拜总领事李旭航于现场共同揭幕“中国驻迪拜总领馆官方推特账号”。

12月8日开幕式的”盖娅传说“作为本届时装周开场大秀，当仁不让地成为重磅亮点。“盖娅传说”是有着“中国风时尚教母”美誉的熊英之作，基于中国传统服饰和当代艺术为背景，致力于传承中国智慧美学和精湛服饰工艺，打造出似艺术品般的华美风格，每件设计都堪称传统艺术神韵与西式表现手法的完美结合，同时世界级模特的精彩表现也让这场大秀有了更完美的呈现。
