中国驻阿联酋大使倪坚在接受采访时表示：“预计中国与阿联酋的贸易和投资将在2020年及以后保持快速增长的势头。”
他补充说：“近年来，中阿高层交往频繁，政治、国防、经济、人文、科技等领域合作得到了全面提升。”
他说，去年1月至9月，中国对阿联酋直接投资达6.6亿美元，同比增长171%，占中国对阿盟22个成员国投资的54%。
在阿联酋的6000多家中国企业中，多数位于迪拜。他补充说，许多大型中国企业也提高了对阿联酋市场的兴趣和参与度。
倪坚强调了阿联酋武装部队副总司令、阿布扎比王储Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan7月访华的重要性。
他说：“双方在基础设施建设、产能、工程、投资、银行等领域的合作也得到了深化，中阿全面战略伙伴关系更加充实。”
倪坚补充说：“2019年约有120万中国游客来到阿联酋，这也显示了两国之间蓬勃发展的文化交流。”
在中东，阿联酋是中国商人、工人和游客数量最多的国家，估计有20多万，其中大部分居住在迪拜和沙迦。
倪坚还说，在Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan的倡议下，阿联酋对汉语的兴趣与日俱增，他计划在阿联酋的200所学校开设汉语课程，而在60多所阿联酋的学校中教授汉语的教师超过200人，另外还有50所学校计划在9月之前开设汉语课程。
