阿联酋卫生和预防部（MOHAP）将对3至17岁的儿童试接种国药集团的疫苗。

阿布扎比卫生部表示，将“按照最高的国际标准和惯例”执行相关疫苗接种活动。

阿联酋是中东和北非地区第一个对这一年龄组（3-17岁）的疫苗有效性进行研究的国家。

研究的初步结果将会稍晚时候公布。

其他疫苗生产国，如中国、美国、英国和印度，在过去几个月也开始对儿童群体进行临床试验。

每个儿童将在父母的充分同意下参加试接种，全程受到密切监测，以充分保障儿童的安全。

一位大学的医学博士表示，“由于现在（人们可以通过接种疫苗）预防新冠，我们离（实现）结束这一流行病更近了。”

截至2021年5月底，阿联酋在新冠疫苗接种率方面位居世界第一，每100人接种了137剂。
