迪拜上诉法院推翻了一名男子的定罪判决，因为一份医疗报告显示他患有精神焦虑症，上诉法院宣布男子无罪并将他送入了康复中心。

受害女子的丈夫表示，被告在2017年至2020年期间不断发手机信息来威胁自己和家人，声称要杀死我们，同时将妻子的照片发给朋友并诽谤我的家庭。

今年早些时候，迪拜初审法院判处该男子六个月监禁。

阿联酋律师Bader Khamis告诉法官，由于委托人患有精神病，所以无法对自己的行为负责。

根据阿联酋刑法第 60 条，如果某人因精神错乱或精神障碍而出现犯罪行为，则不追究其刑事责任。
