大家好，我叫余和容，是一个地地道道的农民，农闲之时酷爱读书写字，因为写字，我成了老百姓眼中的“农民书法家”，因为写字，我成了诸多媒体报道的爱心人士，因为写字，我还在迪拜登上了《迪拜人》杂志。

25年来，我无论是在家做农活还是外出打工，闲暇之余，我都在读书写字，先后完成了上百件硬笔书法作品 。不久前，我历时42天，创作出一幅15米长的硬笔书法长卷，共抄写了《三字经》《百家姓》《千字文》《老子》《庄子》等28部传统经典，共211979字，每平方多达40000字。

2019年8月，我将自己多年潜心创作的10余幅作品在黔江区图书馆举办的书友会上进行了义卖。并在武陵都市报开展的“圆我读书梦”活动中，将义卖所得的1500元款项全部捐赠给贫困大学生，帮助学生走进校园，实现上大学的梦想。

我作为一个出生在山村的农民，成长之路十分坎坷。1973年腊月14日，我出生于原四川省黔江县新安乡孟家3组（现在的黔江区太极乡新陆5组），父亲给我取名余和容，和气、包容是父亲对我今后处事为人的最基本要求。

到了上学读书的年龄，我每天走山路、过田埂到当时的麻柳村小学读书，父亲说我从小天资聪慧，学习成绩一直处于前茅。小学毕业后，我到黔江县石家区读中学，数理化以及语文等课程都能考到80分以上，这在当时算是很好的成绩了。但是由于骄傲自满，不愿学习英语，最后让英语拖了后腿，初中毕业后便回家务农。

1994年，我在报纸上看到了一则《庞中华硬笔书法函授培训》的招生信息，被老师那一手漂亮的钢笔字所吸引，于是毫不犹豫地报了名。按照寄来的学习资料开始了书法练习，刚开始，一点一横地慢慢描摹，虽然很枯燥，但我还是毫不懈怠地坚持练习下去。

我有一个习惯，从上初中时就爱记笔记、写日记，当时想，练好了字，今后的日记就会写得非常漂亮。于是我在家里坚持苦练，并把写的字贴满了墙壁。在城里工作的一个亲戚看到我写的字后，就把我介绍给城里的一个书法家，让我跟他学习书法。

书法家看不起我们这些从农村出来的娃娃，他只让我在他开的广告店里做工、打杂，从不教授我练习书法。我看不到希望，决定回家务农养猪。2000年我在家养了30头猪，当时活猪价格2元钱一斤，到头来没有赚到什么钱。

1995年，我与本村姑娘申秀生结婚，并生了个女儿。2006年妻子生下小女儿后患上了产后抑郁症，不由自主地做出了多次过激行为，几乎让家崩溃。由于家里的贫困，需要挣钱养家。我离开患病的妻子和出生刚刚三个月的女儿外出打工，到武汉的一个砖瓦厂做苦力，把刚刚出窑、滚烫的砖从拖拉机上卸下来，每40秒钟要卸完12板砖，平均每天要卸26000匹。

砖厂打工三年，极度的苦累还赚不到钱，我当时萌生了一个念头，我一定要努力改变艰苦的现状。2009年2月，我便转战到浙江，在一家窗帘厂做了一个包装工人。刚做不久，家里遭遇不幸，妻子因病造成失血性休克，急需5000元钱进行输血，我打电话借遍亲戚朋友，没有一个人伸出援手。

就在这个紧要关头，我以前的一次不经意的献血经历给我们带来了希望，医院凭我的献血证明免去了妻子的输血费用，妻子得救了。从此，我便在身体健康的情况下，每年坚持义务献血，如今已累计献血十多次，共5800多毫升。

在浙江窗帘厂打工期间，我照常坚持白天上班，晚上练字， 甚至午休那点时间我也不会放过。2011年9月，窗帘厂老板把我派到了迪拜，开始了四年的国外打工经历。在迪拜，由于语言不通，我不敢外出，把所有的时间都用在读书和写字上。

一个偶然的机会，我读到了《迪拜，我的一千零一夜》这本书，我一下子被这本书所吸引，每每读起它我就会泪流满面，感觉作者所写的文字就是我的经历。于是，我萌生了想会一会作者的想法，经多方打听，终于通过《迪拜人》杂志社找到了作者。作者沙沫是四川广安人，在异国他乡，我们两人相会，一见如故。

沙沫见到我写的字，给予了很高的评价。通过他，我拿着几件硬笔书法作品参加了由”迪拜人“传媒举行的首届华人跳蚤市场的义卖活动，我的硬笔书法作品在迪拜有了价值。我将义卖所得的几千元收入全部捐给了迪拜华人的民间慈善基金会，救助孤儿及贫困学生。

我的经历引起了《迪拜人》杂志社的关注，编辑兼记者刘昱彤女士对我进行了专访，让我这个普通的农民打工仔登上了《迪拜人》杂志。之后我与刘昱彤女士也成为了朋友，当她了解到我在迪拜几年，从未出去逛过时，特地请假一天，带我游玩了迪拜的名胜景点，陪我玩、请我吃，让我感动不已。

2015年，我结束了在迪拜四年的打工生活，回到了家乡。看见逐渐老去的父母，我的内心受到了很大的触动。”父母在、不远游“，我这个曾经远走的游子暗暗决定，从此不再出走，在家孝敬父母、教育孩子，这才是人生之中最为重要的事情。

现在，我安心在家务农，分别种了4亩稻田和4亩多土地，运用科学的方法种植纯天然绿色农作物。在农闲之余，仍然坚持读书写字，并积极坚持公益事业。

我把自家修建的楼房选出最好的一间，建起了一家免费为附近村民开放的农家书屋。书屋里有古典类、传统文化类、农村种养类、少儿类书籍及光碟等，适宜于农村不同年龄、不同文化的群体学习观看。平常来这里看书学习的，多为附近留守家庭的老人和孩子。

2018年，我利用8天时间，书写了两幅十九大报告长卷，为党的生日献礼。每幅作品长15米，宽1米，共32000余字。还创作了《孝经》《三字经》《弟子规》《千字文》《百孝篇》《了凡四训》《金刚经》等作品。长卷有《学庸论语》，21512字;《诗经》，43391字;《老庄孟》，83113字。

除了自己坚持练习外，还走进校园，教授学生练习硬笔书法，还利用一些学生来到书屋看书学习的机会教他们写字、学习中国的传统文化。我决定，凡是我的书法作品，只要卖出一幅，我就将所得收益全部捐给公益机构，为慈善事业作一点微薄的贡献。
