之前已经介绍过很多中东系的美食了，有伊拉克的烤鱼、阿富汗的烤肉以及叙利亚的传统阿拉伯菜，这次为大家介绍的，是来自也门的Mandi大餐——Bait Al Mandi也门餐厅。
站长的爱好是吃，但也喜欢吃背后的文化，那么也门的Mandi究竟是一种什么样的食物呢？
Mandi是一种也门传统食物，其实就是也门的手抓饭。也在其他一些阿拉伯海湾国家流行（比如埃及和叙利亚）。Mandi通常指用羊肉或鸡肉，混合米饭和香料烹饪出来的食物。Mandi的特别之处，是肉类的烹饪方式，用的是也门的一种特殊烤箱（也门叫Taboon）。通常这种Taboon就是在地上挖个洞，然后用粘土覆盖，洞里放着柴火，肉类就放在里面烤而不会接触柴火。（这种烹饪方式和印度的Tandoor烤法很相似）整个Taboon在烹饪的时候是被完全封闭的，不会看到任何烟漂到外面去。肉出锅后还会按照口味放上一些葡萄干和坚果到米饭中去。在也门，Mandi经常作为婚礼和节庆日的主食。
所以Mandi在也门属于很传统的一类食物，而Bait Al Mandi餐厅就提供纯正地道的Mandi。

站长去的是位于Deira Murraqabat Stree 的Bait Al Mandi餐厅，这家给我的用餐体验还是比较特别的。前厅很另类，在大厅一个硕大的空间里，竟然只有收银台，这个前厅的空间甚至比餐厅的就餐区还要大，但功能只是收银，收银台外观还是酒店式的，不知道的可能会以为误闯入一家酒店（也门人果然与众不同~~）……
经过空荡荡的前厅，就餐区反而显得拥挤。除了几张散客的桌子，大部分空间都是包厢（family hall）。在包厢的用餐体验是非常有意思的，包厢里铺着毯子，四面都被垫子围起来，进入必须拖鞋，没有桌子和椅子，所有人都是席地而坐，饭菜会被放在地上一个塑料纸上，大家都像也门人一样坐在地上吃饭。由于包厢四周都有软垫还有额外的坐枕，坐着吃饭比我想象中的还要舒服。（进入必须拖鞋，若是有汗脚的朋友，请慎重）
就餐区，基本都是一个个包厢。
大家都席地而坐吃饭。就餐体验很特别。
然后再来看看Bait Al Mandi的食物。Bait Al Mandi只提供4道菜，分别是Mutton Mandi（40dhs）、Chicken Mandi(20dhs)、Fish Mandi(25dhs)和Chicken Mazbi Grilled(20dhs)。才4个菜，小CASE，所以站长全部点了……
4个菜里最好吃的要数羊肉Mandi，但也是最贵的，40迪拉姆是两份鸡肉Mandi的价格，但羊肉真的是量大份足，丝毫没有膻味，口味也很出众。而也门人最拿手的菜就是羊肉，果然中东人烹饪羊肉已经出神入化了！
鸡肉Mandi是性价比最高的，外观呈现独特的红色光泽，让人很有食欲。半只鸡+米饭+配餐才20迪拉姆，所以并不能说羊肉Mandi太贵，只能说鸡肉Mandi真是太便宜了。
Chicken Mazbi Grilled是餐厅唯一一个不使用Mandi做法的食物，其实就是普通的烤鸡罢了。如果对比鸡肉Mandi和鸡肉Mazbi，就会发觉Mandi做法和烧烤做法的不同了。确切来说，Mandi是一种熏的做法而非烧烤，Mazbi有显而易见的烤后焦灼，而Mandi则带有熏肉才有的色泽。但Mandi的熏肉和大家理解的国内熏肉的味道又完全不同，Mandi没有一点烟熏的味道，而且肉质极烂，油脂被均匀地分布在肉中，非常湿润，不像传统熏肉那种干巴巴的感觉，但却有着熏肉入味的特点。
Fish Mandi就比较坑爹了，25迪拉姆只有两块小小的马鲛鱼。不过事后朋友告诉我，Fish Mandi其实有两种选择，默认是King Fish(马鲛鱼)，但点的时候可以要求Shirly fish（应该是鳕鱼吧~），价钱是一样的，Shirly fish可是一整条的鱼，非常划算。
也门特色番茄辣椒酱
吃也门Mandi饭不得不说的，就是它的配菜中的特制辣椒酱——番茄辣椒酱，非常特别，在其他阿拉伯餐厅是吃不到的。这种番茄辣椒酱外观就是番茄糊的样子，刚入口的感觉也是番茄的清凉，但接踵而来的后味却是辣椒的凶猛，是一种非常奇特的口感（重口味站长表示辣得很轻松，但不食辣的朋友或许会觉得比较辣）。用它来配比较淡的米饭，真是太好不过了，番茄的酸味还非常下饭。
Bait Al Mandi的性价比可谓是很高的，人均也就20-30迪拉姆，量却很大，一份Mandi一个人吃我感觉吃不完，两个人吃一份又少了点。大家去点选的时候也请适量。
阿拉伯人吃这些基本就是直接动手了，虽然餐厅也提供一次性的小勺子，但面对这等规模的肉类完全不给力啊，所以也就入乡随俗，直接用手食指大动吧！在Bait Al Mandi餐厅，你尽可像一个也门人一样，席地而坐，用手吃饭，何等畅快。也门人纯爷们！！

Bait Al Mandi 翻译成中文意思：也门抓饭之家！！
第一家店没去过，后面三家都去过啊。国际城这家平均一个星期最少2次。味道相当不错。配的汤虽然有点咸，感觉还不错了。番茄蒜蓉辣椒酱相当的合口味。现在价格比前几年提高了不少。以前鸡肉mandi只有15，羊肉mandi只有30.都涨价了。
以前还有一种把羊排和大块带骨头羊肉油炸了以后放在米饭上，名字不知道了，价格相对便宜只有25.现在不知道为什么不提供了没有了。可惜啊。
